First of all...

And now, on with the program.
My first assignment for the new year is to RELEASE all the baggage, hang-ups, issues, etc., that have been dogging me for the last year. I chose to ritualistically demonstrate this release with the use of FIRE. I filled index cards with all the things that have been keeping me awake at night, causing me stress, and generally making me miserable, and torched them.  No sense in starting a new year with a lot of old junk, right? It was cathartic.

Just one of many...

I know I'll have to ward off that all too human tendency to pick up those old bags again, but with my little ritual complete, I have a tangible focal point on which to place my faith and say, "I released that to God and I am free."

"Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you."

  1. May you then early in this calender year see, you have forgotten about all those things you released. And see how GOD has replaced all that with more of HIM, continually.
